SMOKE ON THE LAKE BBQ FESTIVAL

The 15th Annual Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival returns in 2025 for another spectacular celebration! As the Rotary Club of North Cobb's largest fundraiser, this two-day BBQ competition draws over 12,000 attendees and features more than thirty competitive BBQ teams. Visitors can savor diverse food options from various vendors while enjoying live music on Friday night and local entertainment throughout Saturday. The festival offers plenty of family fun with children's activities and much more.

Over the past fifteen years, "Smoke" has evolved into one of Cobb County and Acworth's most cherished events, providing vital funding for local charities. Thousands of visitors flock to the festival each day to connect with local businesses and organizations at their display booths, chat with passionate BBQ Cook Team members, and participate in the popular "People's Choice" wing and BBQ tasting competitions. The festival creates the perfect atmosphere for families and friends to come together, enjoying spectacular fireworks and making memories that last a lifetime.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

North Cobb Rotary is part of Rotary International. RI’s motto is “Service Above Self”, and our club lives that motto. Through the Rotary Foundation, North Cobb Rotary members support a vast number of worldwide education, health, and economic stimulus projects. North Cobb Rotary continues to be recognized by Rotary International because every member makes at least one personal contribution to the Rotary Foundation every year.

The Rotary Foundation is best known for playing a major role in eradicating Polio by vaccinating millions of children worldwide. We are down to three countries where wild Polio still exists. This major effort must succeed because the Polio virus is only an airplane ride away from the rest of the world. Through the Foundation Rotarians support critical improvement efforts throughout the world. It is good to know that there is a Rotarian on the other end of our donations making sure the money is used efficiently.
